I was once a single mother and I thought I'd never find someone who would accept my child. Until I met the man who is now my husband. Before we were even married he talked about how he wanted to adopt my son. Then one day the lawyer called and said his biological father would allow it. He jumped at the chance and asked me to move up our wedding day to the time he'd be home on leave from Iraq. We had the perfect wedding with our little guy and two months later the adoption was final. Those two are crazy about each other and my son loves finally having a daddy that would do anything for him.
This song makes me bawl whenever I hear it because I know that my husband gave him the most precious gift ever and the funny part is that he doesnt see it as a big deal because he loves him so much.

This song touches me like no other. I am in the same predicament, my best friends' older sister had a beautiful baby boy and his dad has nothing to do with him. Well 2 years later me and her are together and I help in EVERY way possible, I love him like he is my own and I wouldnt turn my back on him no matter what. One day she (Deanna) told me to listen to this song and she said it reminded her of me and once I heard it I almost cried it has so much meaning and power to me. Just a thought, no child should have to grow up without a dad.

I love this song. it warms my heart so much that i downloaded from the internet at walmart so i can hear it anytime. my husband did that for my son when it was just the two of us aganist the world. me and my boy.
