Adele is compared by many to a lesser version of Duffy. Which is shame, because she's so much more. She doesn't need nostalgic '60s pop-production to be heard. Just minimal base lines and ballad-driven pianos. Where percussion comes in to play, bongo drums are highlighted. Mostly acoustic instruments emphasize Adele's angelic vocals and life experience (mostly with boys) -at only 19. The best picks on this album are "Best For Last," "Crazy For You," "Melt My Heart To Stone," "Tired", "To Make You Feel My Love" (an amazing cover of Bob Dylan's classic), and my personal favorite, "Hometown Glory".

She's the best singer to come out of UK in a long time. Love her.
