Bursting onto the U.S. music scene in 1991, Shabba Ranks, already an international superstar, helped usher in a new form of Jamaican music known as Dancehall. With his booming basslines and sexually charged vocals, Shabba blazed a path from clubs to the charts. Shabba's incredible rhymes and rhythms established him as an innovator and pionneer and has set the foundation for many others to follow.
